P&C System partners with FORVIA to supply advanced hydrogen storage systems for Renault MASTER H2-Tech
P&C System is excited to announce its collaboration with FORVIA, the seventh-largest automotive technology supplier in the world, to provide cutting-edge hydrogen storage systems for the new Renault MASTER H2-Tech. This innovative system will be unveiled at the IAA Transportation 2024 in Hannover, showcasing a significant advancement in sustainable mobility.
FORVIA’s hydrogen storage system is designed to onboard up to 9kg of hydrogen, utilizing up to five second-generation composite carbon fiber tanks. These tanks offer enhanced storage capacity and represent a more affordable and sustainabl
solution, thanks to improved manufacturing processes that reduce material usage and CO2e footprint by 10% per kilogram of hydrogen.
“This new generation of hydrogen storage systems marks a turning point for light commercial vehicles,” stated Yves Dumoulin, Senior Vice-President of Hydrogen Solutions at FORVIA. “We are proud to lead the way in zero-emission van production, with four dedicated plants and a proven track record of delivering 11,000 hydrogen tanks in 2023 alone.”
Designed for flexibility, the hydrogen storage system fits conveniently under the van’s floor, maximizing space and catering to the needs of light commercial vehicles with intensive daily use. FORVIA will showcase this groundbreaking system at Booth A30 Hall 12 during the IAA Transportation event, running from September 16-22.
